Affiliate disclosure

GTM Labs products are free to use. This page explains how they are funded, what that changes in what they recommend, and what it does not.

How the products are funded

The destination guides, the beach decision tools and the home guides are funded mainly by affiliate links. When you click one of these links and make a booking, buy insurance or make a purchase on the partner's site, GTM Labs may receive a commission paid by the partner.

You do not pay anything extra. The price is the same you would find by going straight to the partner's site.

Who the partners are

  • Lodging booking platforms, such as Booking.com, and vacation rental platforms, such as Airbnb.
  • Travel insurance, such as Assist Card.
  • Car rental, through affiliate networks such as CJ.
  • Tours and activities, such as those on GetYourGuide.
  • Online stores, such as Amazon and Mercado Livre, in the home guides and in some guides that recommend products for the trip.

The affiliate programs are commercial relationships with these platforms and companies. The hotels, inns, hosts, tour operators and stores listed on them have no agreement with GTM Labs.

What the commission does not change

The commission does not decide what is recommended. A beach, an area, a place to stay, a tour or a product appears because of the guide's criteria, not because it earns a commission, and no one pays to appear or to move up.
